Because you didn't ask for them
This was our first time trying this place out and it was amazing. We will definitely be going back soon...
Seriously....how hard is it.....I ordered chicken taquitos with NO GUACAMOLE AND NO SOUR CREAM!!!! And asked for extra lettuce ...get home, had to scrape a boatload of guacamole off one side, a huge blob of sour cream off the other side, and the little bit of lettuce that they did put on it was covered in both.....Not cool when you're looking forward to dinner and then it's a disaster......
We always love this place.
Great prices and delicious food!! Highly recommend! Great vegan options as well. Thank you thank you
my first time here. there were long lines at the drive thru, so i went inside & ordered. ready in under 10 min. we got the Chimichanga Platters, one shredded beef & one chicken. to go. although there are tables inside & outside. there was so much food, we have enough for another meal. it tasted wonderful. delicious. home made. the price was excellent for what u get. we will definitely be going back. its now a favorite!
Pleasantly surprised, this place was really good and the customer service was awesome.
Great food and nice service! Didn't have to wait long. They even have a drive through! I wish there were Indios everywhere!
Establishment does not use hairnets. Have found hairiness my food in 3 straight visits. Gave the place the benefit of the doubt because of the awesome customer service which is why I kept coming back but after this third, I simply cannot. Please wear hairnets, it is the law.
Delicious, best tacos al pastor
Oh how surprises I was to find authentic and fresh made Mexican food
Yummy taco creations! Have a shake ! Tastes great!
WOW!!! If you have not tried them, you are missing out! Their street tacos are out of this world!
I have had their Burritos, Ice Cream, and the chips with fresh salsa!!! Fresh chips and fresh salsa nothing better than that!!! Amazing family owned!!!
Apparently this is the first restaurant that doesn't have a water cup. I brought my own drink when i would go there because of their poor drink selection and would ask for a cup of ice. They don't have water cups so they gave me a standard cup. One day the lady said she would start charging me for a cup of ice. Didnt go back for a while. Gave it 1 more try. They gave me wrong order in drive thru. The lady who got my order gave it to to cashier who then handed it to me. Will never go back.
Carnitas platter is good and they have lingua.
Bad customer service. I’ve been here twice & both times, when waiting in line inside to order, the people working has serviced the cars in the drive through line before service people at the counter, even though I had arrived first and had been waiting. Also had a worker insist on taking another person ahead of me, who had come in after us. They basically acted like they didn’t know what they were doing. The El Indio on 13th is WAY better than this one. Food takes forever too. So sad because the food is good.
Good food. Better carnitas than fancy restaurants
Chicken taco salad! Don't forget to add a side of spicy carrots.
This used to be my favorite spot but lately it hasn’t been good, and tonight was the worst. First they messed up my order, I asked for the new taco combo but only the tacos were in the bag, no beans/rice... then the tacos were soo soggy and greasy I couldn’t even eat them. The queso was cold and watery and the chips were stale. This was the third time the tacos were soggy... I kept hoping it would get better and back to how it used to be, but it’s only gotten worse. I don’t think I can go back and waste my money. So disappointing as this used to be my favorite place.
I am not a big fan of Mexican food ordinary but this was some really very good food. I had a chimichangas platter (steak) which was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and even the salsa was homemade. Good prices and quick service was surprisingly great. I will go back especially to try their desserts and of course get another chimichangas.
Wonderful food for good price. Staff is polite and experienced.
Got double burger, big and delicious. Little more time waiting in car than I had time for. My lunch was around 2:30 so not busy but still waited awhile 15m will go again. Just will call it in..
Great food! Best in town!
If you're looking for anything close to authentic food from a drive-thru this is your place. If you're up early, the breakfast chorizo burrito doesn't disappoint, for dinner anything carne asada will please.
Are french fries or fried in old grease hamburger was soggy I've tried it twice same thing they don't cook their fries well enough
I’m not sure who the little girl who takes the orders at the drive-thru window is but as soon as we pull up, she is very rude and says Yes? She took my order wrong and obviously was not listening and I had to pay for her mistake. If I was not in a rush to get home then I would have corrected her and made her give me a refund. Most likely will not be returning to this location.
The food is good and reasonably priced. They do really a good hamburger. The carne asada burrito was delicious as was the shredded beef crunchy taco but the taco, wrapped in foil, was soggy by the time I got home eight minutes later. Place was clean and the staff was very nice. Also, drive safe through line was long. The food isn't like Moe's, which I like, it is more like a home cooked recipe. A tasty home cooked recipe.
A very nice hole in the wall style place, got the beef tongue taco and was absolutely delicious , lots of options for savory and sweet!
I have chased great Mexican food all my life. For 30 years I had a place in Puerto Vallarta. 25 years in California. Am I the world’s foremost authority on Mexican food. NO! But I know this. El Indio is as good as anything you will find east of the Pecos. Great diversity. Great value.
I definitely was not a fan of this place. The fajita nachos look like something a baby would throw up. They were completely soggy mushy and The Taste was absolutely atrocious not to mention it took 25 minutes to get my order in the drive thru.
Always fast service and great food!
In the process of fixing, but I went to El Indo off of 34th last night around 10pm, and bought two slush puppies and a malt shake that totaled at approx $7. My bank account today showed a $12 charge, which means someone gave themselves a $5 tip.
Love this restaurant! This isn't the one on 13, this is a hidden gem on 34th near the old YMCA. The food is amazing and the staff is always so sweet. Please keep up the good work.
I appreciate the amount of vegetarian options and the fact that they have a drive-thru but their veggie burritos are laking flavor and are watery.
Both times I've been here now I've asked if there's cilantro in something I've ordered, been told no, no cilantro, ASKED not to have cilantro if there's anything with cilantro in it, then gotten home to find there is cilantro in my food. Do the workers really not know, or do they think I won't notice the overwhelmingly soapy taste of my burrito? Do they just not care? Do they enjoy the idea of making me scrape half of my burrito out before I can eat it, that I'm just being difficult and deserve the punishment? Whatever the reason, I'm done with El Indio.
Really good food and prices.i would love to eat here more often
I've always come here for years for the basic fare and would go to other places to have mexican style lengua/pastor tacos, but after seeing the menu update it seems I’ll be going here only. The lengua was very soft and delicious, and I was happy to see they added variety to some other favorites like the taco salad which is great with carnitas pork. Keep it up guys, and see if you can add that new nice menu online.
Very good tacos. Plenty of free parking including handicap space. Easy access for all. They have indoor seating and an outdoor patio. They take your order at the counter, but will bring your food to the table if you’re eating in. There’s also a drive through.
Very delicious. I recommend the carnitas platter and a cup of horchata. Anything you get will surely be amazing.
Everything I have ever ordered here has been delicious also the staff is very nice and helpful
Took what seemed like forever for my order. But OMGosh. First time eating here and it was worth it. Deliciousness. I'll be back for sure....
Awesome food, decent prices & veg/vegan friendly!
Yummy ice cream it was chilly out but we could sit outside because they have a nice heater
Humble place, tasty food.
Literally my favorite drive thru mexican. Been going here since I was a kid. Must eat place in gainesville
I love their Taco Salad!! Their staff is very nice and helpful.
What a great little local place! I always get the #7 combo, a burrito and enchilada, with beans and rice. Nice, casual, sit down or drive through. Staff is very friendly, and the food is excellent!
Awesome food and excellent customer service.
Good food, but poor service. Used to be much better before they redesigned. Just waited for 30 minutes behind 2 cars for a single order of fries that came out cold. Eat at the one on 13th or call well in advance...
Best family type Mexican restaurant in Gainesville.
